The Great Nouvita Bake Off, where staff and residents took part in a Halloween themed competition, was the first engagement activity across all of our homes and hospitals. The competition started at Baldock Manor Hospital on Monday, 23rd October, where Stephen Lindley, Rota Administrator and David Andrew, Mental Health Act Administrator were the winners.

The next day was our Head Office competition and Ruth Mabika, Chief of Staff to the CEO took the crown. Residents and staff at Greenwood Cottage, our Learning Disability care home in St Albans put on a fabulous display of very tasty and wonderfully decorated cakes. Natalie Galvani, Assistant Manager and William, one of our residents were the very deserving winners here. Eltisley Manor finished the week-long competition and Olivia Ndoro, Registered Manager, and Heather Emery, Chef were our final winners.

As well as a great engagement activity for staff and residents, we were raising funds for a charity that is close to the heart of one of our colleagues – The Ollie Foundation, ‘One Life Lost is Enough’, a charity that is devoted to stopping teenagers and young people from taking their own lives. We raised a total of £100 for the charity, and their Chairman, Stuart Falconer said “Thank you for your very kind words and very generous donation. It’s always humbling when people support us, so thank you.”
