We are looking for dynamic Assistant Accountant, with a desire to work in a commercial and entrepreneurial environment and a proven record of good time management and ability to work to tight deadlines.

  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Purchase Order management
  • Purchasing support – main point of contact for sourcing the most cost-efficient product
  • Weekly petty cash processing and producing and posting journals from this data
  • Payroll processing – all core data input and cleanse including starter/ leaver data management, processing expense claims
  • Process payroll queries via telephone and email
  • Manage payroll mailbox
  • Extract and analyse data from rota management system to complete monthly pay data – hand over of payroll data to tight deadline for final check
  • Assist with management of rota management system
  • Admission/Discharge Monitoring
  • Produce bi-monthly billing – to hand over for final check
  • Prepare invoices and credit notes in a timely manner, ensuring that all rates and prices are in line with contractual agreements
  • Posting of sales invoices, credit notes, cash and allocation of payments
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Credit Control and Debt Collection
  • Rounded accounts experience, as this is a varied role
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • SAGE 50: Proficiency in Sage Line 50 Accounts and MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
  • Payroll Management and Administration
  • Good bookkeeping knowledge
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion always
  • Organised and self-motivated individual
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, with good time management skills
  • Great communication skills – confident to handle demanding telephone calls and liaise with non-financial departments
  • Good excel skills – intermediate skills desired, but not essential as support will be given

  • Experience of sales ledger and credit control
