We know those in our care by name and place them at the heart of everything we do.
Nouvita Healthcare was established in 2008 with the opening of our nursing service, Howe Dell Manor. Since then, Nouvita Healthcare has grown to offer 160 beds over 10 sites in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Cambridgeshire as it has evolved to meet the needs of local Integrated Care Boards.
What we do
Our range of services encompasses female PICU and acute services at our hospital in Baldock, 24/7 nursing care, longer-term residential services, and supported living for those taking their final steps toward independent living in the community.
We offer a pathway to aid those in our care on their recovery journey, allowing them to stay in different, appropriate settings while remaining under our care for the duration of their treatment. This seamless transition between inpatient care and independent living provides a comprehensive recovery plan that is beneficial to care teams and families and has positive outcomes for the individual in our care.
Not everybody needs the services of the Nouvita recovery pathway, and many referrals are for a single setting stay.
Our goals
To provide a high-quality service that promotes choice and dignity and always places a person’s needs and personal circumstances at the heart of it. We aim to support each person admitted to our services to reach their fullest potential in a collaborative way while delivering a value-for-money service for our NHS and local authority partners.
Quality and Compliance
We are committed to delivering the highest standards of safety, quality, care, and treatment for the people that we support. We have robust policies and procedures in place, which are regularly reviewed and updated.
Our facilities are regularly inspected by external regulatory bodies such as the CQC and are subject to local authority inspections known as PAMMS (Provider Assessment and Market Management Solution). We are able to demonstrate good compliance outcomes and a strong ratings profile, which can be seen on each location page of this website.
Would I want to grow old here myself? Yes! Especially when I hear families telling us how we’re making a difference to their loved ones
lives!) Every day is different, organising activities is fun and it’s inspiring to see the faces light up. Residents have regular health checks, monthly reviews and all the support they need to live an independent and varied life as possible. Having a young and dedicated management team behind us working hard and ensuring up-to-date training, monthly appraisals, team building, and more… but still find time to join in, too! I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. To me, this is how caring everywhere should be.
