We are seeking an experienced and visionary Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our team across a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and an old age acute mental health ward. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a senior clinical leadership position within a forward-thinking organisation.

You will empower our multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional, person-centred care in line with the highest clinical and regulatory standards.
As a visible and influential presence across both services, you will work in close partnership with a skilled operational and clinical management team. Your leadership will shape the strategic direction of the units, ensuring services remain safe, effective, and responsive to the individual needs of our patients.

Responsibilities:
Lead a talented clinical team, shaping treatment services based on best-practice, evidence-based care.
Oversee a defined patient caseload and ensure outstanding psychiatric care across the hospital.
Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders to deliver integrated, high-quality services.
Mentor and support fellow Consultant Psychiatrists through clinical supervision, appraisal, and revalidation.
Champion a culture of professional growth, learning, and innovation.
Play an active role in quality improvement initiatives, audits, CPD, and research.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ in-patient psychiatry experience
Approved Clinician Status
Experience in Psychiatric Intensive Care and/or Acute Services
Proven clinical leadership and decision-making skills
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act (MHA) & Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Strong understanding of in-patient psychiatric best practices
🕘 Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
