About the Role:
You’ll be working with adults in an inpatient setting who are living with complex mental health needs. As part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, you’ll assess, plan, and deliver personalised, evidence-based therapeutic programmes aimed at promoting recovery, building independence, and improving quality of life.
In this role, you’ll also supervise junior OT staff and contribute to the development of innovative occupational therapy services across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out functional and occupational assessments

Design and implement tailored treatment plans using evidence-based approaches

Lead both group sessions and 1:1 therapeutic interventions

Provide supervision and mentorship to junior OT team members

Collaborate closely with nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, and support workers

Support discharge planning and coordinate with external services

Engage in audits, CPD, and service improvement initiatives
Requirements:

Degree in Occupational Therapy
-
HCPC registration
-
Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in a mental health/psychiatric setting is preferable

Experience with both group and individual OT interventions

Supervisory experience desirable
