We’re looking for female support workers for our new female (only) Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. We are seeking exceptional individuals to expand the talented ranks of our Care Team at Baldock Manor Hospital. In the role of a Mental Health Support Worker, you will find yourself developing a strong and progressive position within the Nouvita network.🛠️🌱
In this hands-on, people-focused role, you’ll work as part of a supportive team helping adults with complex mental health needs. Every day is different and brings the chance to learn, grow, and do real good. 📚
💼 What You’ll Do:
Your role with us is at the forefront of everything we do; from coordinating recreational groups to assisting in the preparation of assessments for current and future residents, you will be interacting with every department of the Hospital. Your primary task will be to ensure and implement the care, treatment, and rehabilitation of service users by assisting our nurses and psychologists. These responsibilities include:
- Participation in the application of care plans while ensuring interventions and observations are communicated effectively with senior members of the team
- Assisting in the supervision of other healthcare/support staff
- Maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, beneficial to the needs of residents, relatives, and other carers
- Promoting a positive attitude toward mental health and rehabilitation
- Aside to your hands-on responsibilities, there is also a small amount of administration (Record keeping, booking your holidays, edit/create care-plans, publish/view your hours).

🧠 Your Experience:
- Experience in any team-based setting
- Understanding of how mental health impacts daily life
- At least 1 year in a support role (preferably mental health related)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (preferred)
- Good organisational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to follow policy, protocols, and take direction
- Flexible and adaptable to change
