About The Role

Mental Health Residential Service

£3,000 Welcome Bonus!!!

Build a mental health service from the ground up – and run it your way

How often do you get to open a service?

Coniston House is a brand-new residential mental health service in Camberley, and we are looking for its first Registered Manager – someone to recruit the team, set the standards, shape the culture and lead the service through CQC registration and beyond.

This is a genuine leadership role with real autonomy. You will own service delivery, compliance, staffing and budgets, make the decisions, and have the direct backing of a senior management team who trust their managers to lead, including monthly contact with our Head Office in Hatfield.

Nouvita is an established, CQC-regulated provider of specialist mental health and social care services across the South East: small enough that you’ll know the directors by name, established enough to give you proper infrastructure and support.

About Coniston House:

Coniston House will support working-age men with a range of complex mental health conditions – including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, OCD, personality disorders, depression and anxiety – alongside co-occurring challenges such as substance or alcohol misuse and forensic backgrounds. Placements are short to mid-term and firmly recovery-focused: our aim is rehabilitation and progression, empowering residents to build the skills and confidence to move on to supported or independent living.

What you’ll be doing:

Recruiting, leading and inspiring your staff team from day one, with hands-on support from our in-house recruitment function
Providing strong, visible and supportive leadership, and setting a culture of dignity, respect and recovery
Leading the service through CQC registration and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and organisational requirements
Overseeing care planning, risk management and resident progression
Managing budgets effectively to ensure the service’s financial sustainability
Building positive relationships with residents, families, commissioners and professionals
Driving continuous improvement and shaping the service’s development as it grows

What we’re looking for:

Proven management experience in a residential mental health service or similar setting – as a Registered Manager, Service Manager, Home Manager, or an experienced Deputy ready to step up into your first registration
NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or significant progress towards it
Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and best practice in mental health care
Experience of budget management and staff development
The confidence to work autonomously, use your initiative and make sound decisions
A compassionate, resilient and solution-focused leadership style, with excellent communication and organisational skills
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to Head Office (Hatfield) as required

What we can offer you:

£3,000 welcome bonus
Up to 33 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays)
Comprehensive in-house training and development
Workplace Nursery Scheme
Cash Back Medical Plan
Pension scheme
Cycle to Work Scheme
Exclusive high street discounts via HCPA Academy
Refer a Friend bonus scheme
Employee Assistance Programme for 24/7 support
Birthday leave after one year with us

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and right-to-work checks, in line with Safer Recruitment and CQC requirements.

Nouvita is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably experienced candidates.
