Location: Head Office, Hatfield (with site visits and flexible remote working)
Hours: 37.5 hours – full time
Salary: £60,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Human Resources to join our senior leadership team at Nouvita Healthcare. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and delivering a high-performing, compliant, and people-centred HR function across the organisation.
Reporting to the Clinical Director, you will play a key role in driving workforce strategy, supporting organisational growth, and fostering a positive and inclusive culture. You will also provide expert advice at Board level, ensuring workforce decisions align with both operational priorities and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the development and delivery of the HR strategy aligned with organisational and clinical objectives
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Board and senior leadership team
- Produce and present quarterly workforce reports, including insights, risks, and recommendations
- Contribute to organisational development, transformation, and continuous improvement
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with UK employment law and regulatory standards (including CQC requirements)
- Lead HR audits and drive continuous improvement in HR practices
- Maintain effective HR systems for workforce data, reporting, and analytics
Employee Relations & Culture
- Lead on complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture
- Support managers in staff engagement, wellbeing, and performance
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership to HR Administrators and the Training Department (via the Training Lead)
- Develop and coach the HR and training teams to deliver high-quality services
- Strengthen collaboration across HR, Recruitment, and Operational teams
Learning & Development
- Oversee delivery and impact of training programmes across the organisation
- Monitor training compliance and quality
- Manage funding streams such as the Apprenticeship Levy and Workforce Development Fund
- Build strong partnerships with external training providers
Workforce Planning & Insight
- Lead workforce planning, retention, and succession strategies
- Analyse workforce data to identify trends and inform decision-making
- Benchmark pay, benefits, and workforce practices across the sector
Operational & Regulatory Responsibilities
- Lead on sponsorship compliance and Home Office reporting
- Maintain a visible HR presence across services, including site visits and HR clinics
- Regularly report on HR performance, risks, and priorities
About You
You are a strategic HR leader with a strong track record in complex, regulated environments, ideally within health and social care.
You will bring:
- Significant experience in a senior HR leadership role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and regulatory frameworks (e.g. CQC)
- Proven ability to lead HR strategy and organisational change
- Experience presenting workforce insights at Board level
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or above (or working towards)
